Tari L. Cruse, 47, of Morton, died at 11:35 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at her home. 
She was born May 18, 1961, in Peoria to Lyle R. and Sandra (Leurig) Cruse.
Surviving are one son, Jake Cruse of Morton; her grandfather, Harrison Leurig of Peoria Heights; two brothers, Lyle (Debbie) Cruse and Scott (Beth) Cruse, both of Morton; and two sisters, Robin Cruse (companion, Helene “Chip” Curnow) of Gulfport, Fla., and Jill (Perry) Crawford of Groveland.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Katie Cruse on March 19, 2005, and her parents.
She graduated as a registered nurse from the Illinois Central College Nursing Program in 1993 and worked for OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Cardiac Care, then at Oncology Hematology Associates in Peoria and later on the Medical Surgical Floor at Pekin Hospital.
She attended Grace Church in Morton.
Cremation will be accorded. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oak Grove Bible Church in East Peoria. The Rev. Cliff Elliott will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home in Morton, and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in East Peoria.
Memorials may be made to Morton Community Foundation, 309 N. Main St., Suite B, Morton, IL 61550 to establish a nursing scholarship for single parents.
