Norma Jean Branan, 80, of Morton, died at 6:03 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.

Born on Feb. 25, 1932, in Peoria to Scott and Letha Sylvester Harmon, she married William Wyatt in Creve Coeur in 1953. She later married

Tom Branan in Peoria on Sept. 30, 1997. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2012.

Also preceding her in death are one daughter, Brenda Wyatt, two other infant children, and one brother, Kenneth.

Surviving are one daughter, Connie (Bruce) Helms, and one son, Robert Wyatt, both of Washington; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, James (Barb) Harmon of Peoria.

She was a 1953 graduate of Proctor Nursing School. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Three Rivers, Mich., and 25 years at Proctor Hospital as an emergency room nurse, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Proctor Hospital Alumni Association. Norma attended Living Rock Assembly in Peoria Heights.

An open house at her home and a memorial service was Saturday.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is handling arrangements.
