Susan E. Mobley, 61, of Morton, formerly of Hopedale, passed away at 8:49 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Apostolic Christian Skylines in Peoria..
She was born August 5, 1951, in Bloomington to Ralph E. and Z. Fay Gideon Mobley.
Surviving are one brother, Stephen E. (Sue Ann) Mobley of Minier; two nieces, Wendy Mobley-Bukstein (Jerome) of Des Moines, Iowa and Colleen Mobley of Bloomington; two great-nieces; and two aunts, Shirley (Don) Dunshee of Armington and Joan Mobley of Hopedale.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
She graduated from ICC in East Peoria in 1972 and was part of the Loraine Ramsey National Championship Softball Team.
She worked at Caterpillar Inc. in Morton for 30 years, retiring in 2007.
She was a member of the former Hopedale Presbyterian Church, a member of American Legion Auxiliary in Pekin, where she held several local and state offices, and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Davis Mortuary in Hopedale. The Rev. Penny Frame will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Private family burial will be in Orndorff Cemetery, rural Hopedale at a later date.
