The Morton Junior High School seventh-grade girls basketball team roared out to a 17-0 record this season.

Included in the list of victories are hard-fought games against Normal Kingsley, Pekin Edison and Bloomington, as well as a 5-0 record within the Junior Potters' regional.

The girls, directed by seventh-grade coach Don Swearingen, are eager to defend their No. 1 seed in the Regional 10 tournament that takes place Saturday, Monday and Tuesday at MJHS.

This hard-working and dedicated group of Morton girls consists of: Josi Becker, Alaina Fonner, Kassidy Shurman, Nicole Dullard, Jena Liddle, Crystal Cobbler, Macy Meiss, Caylie Jones, Bethany Rowell, Sydney Hilliard, Hannah Martin, Sydney Grant, Keykey Lalka-Morehead, Laynie Laktas and Tori Baker.
