    The Junior Potter seventh graders advanced to the Illinois Elementary School Association Class 4A title game at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Normal Parkside.
    Morton (26-0) will meet Edwardsville Liberty (27-0) after the conclusion of the third-place game.
    The Junior Potters are directed by seventh-grade coach Don Swearingen.
    In Regional 10 action, the Junior Potters, the No. 1 seed, dispatched Macomb, 44-23, and Pekin Edison, 50-19.
    Against Macomb, Caylie Jones topped MJHS with 14 points, while Crystal Cobler added 11.
    In the rout of Edison, Jones accounted for 24 points and Josi Becker 10.
    Morton won the Sectional 5 crown over Normal Kingsley, 33-23, Nov. 28 as Becker had a team-high 13 points and Jones a dozen.
    In the state quarterfinals Saturday, Jones led the Junior Potters to a 33-23 victory against Chicago Heights Washington with 18 points.
    Cobler chipped in eight points as MJHS assured a state trophy.
    Later that night, Becker accumulated 10 points in the semifinals in a 25-21 win vs. Chatham Glenwood.
