Alphalee F. (Alexander) Schnack, 92, of Hopedale, formerly of Roanoke, died at 12:35 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Hopedale Nursing Home.
Born Aug. 22, 1920, in Congerville to Bradley and Della (Foster) Alexander, she married Carl J. Schnack in January 1946 in Secor. He preceded her in death in November 1990.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Surviving are one brother, Clyde Alexander of Morton; and her sister-in-law, Viola Alexander of Bloomington.
She graduated from beauty school in Bloomington and owned and operated her beauty shop out of her home in Roanoke.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Roanoke.
She served as the 1941 Pumpkin Queen when the Pumpkin Festival was held in Eureka.
Services were Saturday at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton, with the Rev. Bruce Scarbeary officiating.
Visitation was prior to services at the funeral home. Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery in Deer Creek.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
