Eric Lee Strohl, 34, of Washington, formerly of Tremont, died at 10:56 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at his home.
He was born July 15, 1978 in Peoria to Rick and Karen Selman Strohl.
Surviving are his parents, Rick and Karen Strohl of Tremont; his paternal grandmother, Thelma Strohl of Morton; one son, Connor James Strohl of Washington; one brother, Jacob Lee (Jennifer) Strohl of Tremont; and one sister, Krista Leigh Strohl of Tremont.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elmer and Mary L. Selman; paternal grandfather, Victor Strohl; and a cousin, Jeffery Parish.
He graduated from Tremont High School in 1997 and from Lincoln College with an associate’s degree in 1999.
He worked at URS Corporation in Peoria from August 2007 until present, last working Dec. 28.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Northfield Christian Fellowship in Tremont. Roger Stuber will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, also at the church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont. Davis Mortuary in Tremont is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to a memorial fund for Eric’s son, Connor, established at First National Bank in Tremont.
