Morton won one of its three wrestling matches Dec. 27 at Rock Island Alleman.
The Potters lost to Sterling, 60-18, and Morris, 57-9, but derailed the host Pioneers, 40-34, in a non-conference quadrangular.
Brock Kelley, Gabe Pleasants, Andrew Michel and Clay Cone all won two matches apiece for Morton.
Kelley pinned a Sterling grappler and received a forfeit vs. Alleman in 126 pounds.
Pleasants nabbed a 4-1 decision in 145 against a Golden Warrior foe and pinned a Pioneer at the two-minute mark.
Michel won by pin at 2:50 against Morris in the 170 division and recorded a 16-3 major decision in 160 vs. Alleman.
Cone pinned Sterling and Alleman 182 opponents in 39 seconds and 4:30, respectively.
Joe Geiger, Kartal Bakirdan, Brody Kupferschmid, Cliff Yerby, Cody Hilliard and Peyton Hopkins also won for the Potters.
Morton's big week to open 2013 continues Saturday with its 46th annual invitational. That tournament follows Thursday's Mid-Illini Conference dual at Pekin.
