  • Kroger raises more than $15,000 in 'Go Red for Women' campaign

  • The Kroger Co.’s Central Division announced today the results of its fundraising campaign on behalf of the American Heart Association.
    Kroger customer and associates made coin box donations from Nov. 4 through Feb. 2, totaling $15,964.61. Proceeds are used to support the “Go Red for Women” campaign.
    According to Kroger Central Division Public Affairs Manager John Elliott, “We want to thank our customers and our associates for their generosity. I am very proud of their passionate support of such a worthy cause, even as we all deal with challenging economic circumstances. Kroger supports dozens of health-related organizations and events across Indiana and Illinois every year. Helping find a cure for heart disease is an important priority and in many cases, particularly when combined when healthy eating habits and exercise, is wholly preventable.
    "Heart disease affects many members of the Kroger family and is a cause supported with passion and dedication by the more than 15,000 associates in Kroger’s Central Division family. The American Heart Association is an outstanding partner in those efforts.”
