Randall J. “Randy” Stuber, 62, of Tremont died at 8:16 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born Nov. 8, 1950, in Peoria to A. Norbert and Grace Storrer Stuber, he married Rebecca “Becky” Boerckel on Oct. 14, 1972, in Morton. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Jason (Melanie) Stuber of Menomonee Falls, Wis.; one daughter, Jeana (Scott) of Tremont; four grandchildren; and one brother, Terry (Rita) Stuber of Metamora.
He worked at Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria as a designing engineer for 42 years, retiring July 1, 2012. He owned and operated Aircon Air Conditioning Service in Tremont for about 10 years and also worked for Lucas Farms in Dillon throughout his life.
He attended Northfield Christian Fellowship in Tremont, was an EMT for Tremont Rescue 702 from 1972-1984, and was a blood and platelet donor for the American Red Cross for the last 20 years.
His funeral was Feb. 20 at Northfield Christian Fellowship in Tremont where visitation was held Feb. 19. Don Stuber officiated. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont. Davis Mortuary in Tremont is handling the arrangements.
