Families now have another reason to go out for dinner on Monday nights.

Culver's in Morton recently started a promotion to give parents and children more of a reason to relax at Culver's after ordering.

"It started as a night that we felt would bring families out; not just to eat and run, but for them to have an opportunity for mom and dad to sit and talk while the kids get their faces painted and watch a professional magician," owner Tom McDonnell said.

The night features face painting by the Zoo Lady and her Zoo Crew, as well as professional magician Mitch Williams. Williams performs various magic tricks at tables throughout the dining area.

In addition, McDonnell said there is a current promotion running as well for children.

"Currently, any child 12 and under who comes in dressed as their favorite superhero or princess gets a kids meal for $1.99," he said. So far, McDonnell said that turnout has been great for the event, adding that it "has been a lot of fun seeing the kids come in dressed up.

"It's really fun to see the look on their faces as Mr. Williams preforms his magic," he said. "Some of the reactions are priceless."

Looking ahead, McDonnell plans to continue the night as long as families keep an interest in it.

"As the weather gets warmer, we plan on moving some activities outside to the patio," he said. "We also plan on possibly bringing in a balloon artist and bounce houses."
