MORTON — Seasons Gastropub has opened at 149 S. Main St. in the heart of the village’s downtown area.

Occupying some of the space where the Main Street Deli was located for 18 years, Seasons opened Jan. 15 and was filled with about 350 people Saturday night when a band was performing.

“What’s a gastropub? It’s a pub with good food,” said Seasons owner Sam Parrott.

Seasons features a new 4,800-square-foot addition with 10 glass garage doors that open onto an outdoor dining area and a new banquet room downstairs for private parties that accommodates up to 80 people. The banquet room opened in September.

Trent Pavlik, who was the chef at Maxine’s on Main in Morton until it closed last year, is the chef at Seasons.

“One reason why we decided to call the place Seasons is because we’ll be offering Trent’s seasonal dishes,” Parrott said.

The establishment’s decor includes pillars rescued from a downtown Morton law office on Jefferson Street that was demolished to make way for The Jefferson multi-use development that is under construction.

Seasons opens at 10:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday and closes between 11 p.m. and midnight Monday through Thursday and 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

Dinner is served until 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Appetizers are available after 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Seasons is closed Sunday. The phone number is 266-1169.
