How come almost every time I hear a celebrity under the age of 50 dies, a few weeks later I find out prescription drugs were involved? The official test results will not be released for weeks, but already there is a growing body of evidence that Whitney Houston was killed by prescription drugs just like so many other celebrities have been.

In recent years, we have seen prescription drugs play a significant role in the deaths of Michael Jackson, Heath Ledger, Brittany Murphy and Anna Nicole Smith. Two of the most famous celebrities of the 20th century, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley, died with very high levels of prescription drugs in their systems. So when is the mainstream media going to start telling us the truth about the dangers of prescription drugs? The answer is NEVER! They are too busy making billions off all the ads you see every night on TV. Every night I see a new ad that lists new symptoms or reasons to take their drugs.

What the mainstream media won’t tell you is that prescription drugs kill more people than illegal drugs. That’s right. The drug companies that your elected leaders represent are producing drugs that kill more people than the drugs that the Mexican drug produce. According to the CDC, approximately 750,000 Americans are rushed to the emergency room each year because of reactions to prescription drugs. At least 200,000 Americans each year end up dying from reactions to prescription drugs. Unfortunately, the big pharmaceutical companies spend billions of dollars advertising their pills in the mainstream media, so the mainstream media has a very strong incentive to cover up the truth. But hopefully the death of Whitney Houston will get more Americans to wake up and realize that prescription drugs can be very, very deadly.

At this point the war on drugs is a real sham. It’s just a way for the government to make more money off of your hard labor. The fact that more people are addicted to LEGAL drugs instead of ILLEGAL drugs has me wondering what side the government is really on. The government is spending trillions on the war on drugs, but our high schools are infested with them. Plus this war on drugs is causing massive violence on the Mexico-US border. Plus the war on drugs is a magnet that attracts illegal aliens to smuggle drugs into the country.

I’m sure most of us don’t remember, but when the US government outlawed booze back in the early 1900’s the Al Capons’ came to power. Sort of like how the Mexican drug cartels have come to power today. When the government repealed prohibition, the Al Capons’ were drained of power.

Everyone sounds so appalled by the thought of lifting the federal ban on heroin. They instantly think that heroin will end up at the corner store on the shelf next to cigarettes. Let’s be real, morphine is legal, and it is controlled.

So what evidence is there that Whitney Houston was killed by prescription drugs?

Well, according to a story posted on Fox News (http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2012/02/12/whitney-houston-dead-prescription-drugs-drowned-autopsy/#ixzz1mGqLKwUS) her family has reportedly been told by authorities that it was a combination of prescription drugs and alcohol that killed her….

It is important to note that absolutely no illegal drugs were found in her room. Whitney Houston struggled with illegal drugs in the past, but they were not involved in her death at all apparently.  But this is what happens with so many celebrities. Once they get off illegal drugs they move over to prescription drugs. They believe that prescription drugs are safe because they are legal and because they are prescribed by doctors who are supposed to know what they are doing. Unfortunately, the cold, hard reality of the matter is that many prescription drugs are incredibly dangerous.

In conclusion, I’m not saying that legalizing drugs will make drugs safer. I’m simply saying that people are going to use drugs no matter what. By eliminating the so called “war on drugs” we will simply shrink the size of the government and possibly reduce border violence. Sounds like a win-win to me.
