The 2009 Morton Relay for Life will be held on June 19-20, 2009, at Morton High School.

Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature activity. It offers everyone in a community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Spirited teams of people will camp out at the high school and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are an overnight event, up to 24 hours in length.

Relay For Life brings together more than 3.5 million people across the country to celebrate cancer survivors ,and the lives of those lost, as well as continuing the fight against the disease.
In preparation for the local event, there are many fundraisers already in motion.

March 28: Spaghetti Dinner, 5-7:30 p.m., Freedom Hall, 349 W. Birchwood in Morton. Adults: $6; kids (10 and under): $4. Dinner includes salad, spaghetti, bread and beverage.
