Morton Chamber of Commerce release:
The 26th annual Community Prayer Breakfast is from 6:30 to 8 a.m. May 12 at the Ashland House in Morton.
The featured speaker will be Amy McClellan Jones, a lifetime resident of Morton. Jones will talk through her journey with childhood cancer being diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of 10, relapsing at 15 and has been cancer free since 1993.
The Community Prayer Breakfast has grown to be a popular event uniting business, political, neighborhood and faith communities in prayer for the city and leadership of Morton.
Tickets are $15 or $120 for a table of eight and reservations are required. To make a reservation, call the Morton Chamber of Commerce at 263-2491 by Monday, May 10.
