“We honestly never expected to catch anything, especially me, since it was my first time ever fishing. About an hour and a half into our little trip, we were about to give up and head in when I got a bite. I thought it would end up being just a little tiny fish like most people catch their first time.

I was wrong.

It put up the biggest fight, I was about to just hand the pole over to Brandon and let him get it, but it didn’t take long for me to decide against that.

My arms where hurting and I thought for sure that I would have a bruise on my side where the pole was against it. Every time I would get the fish just close enough that Brandon could just get it onto land, it would dart away and I would have to reel it in again. Eventually, it all paid off because I finally got it.

Brandon caught one about 30 minutes earlier that might have been just a little smaller but it broke the line before we could get it.

I was really proud of myself, but I was not about to touch that fish. So, Brandon got to hold it up.”
