1969 - 2016

Lori Sue Brown Mansfield, 46, of Manito, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, at her home.

She was born Aug. 13, 1969, at Saint Francis Hospital in Peoria to James Brown and Linda Riebling. She married Brandon Mansfield April 23, 2003, in a small ceremony at the Pekin Park Fountain.

Surviving are her husband, Brandon Mansfield of Manito; parents, Linda and Jim Brown of Pekin; brothers, Kevin Brown of North Pekin and Doug Brown of Long Beach, Calif.; nephew, Mason Brown of Pekin; and nieces, Emily Brown of Pekin and Morgan Van Cleave of North Pekin.

After graduating Pekin High School in 1987, she worked at Pekin Hospital and later at CEFCU, Pekin branch. She also did piece work at The Yarn Barn, her mother’s business.

Lori enjoyed reading and loved crafting, especially with her nieces and nephew. She collected Precious Moments, clown figurines, china masks and Pepsi memorabilia. She did bungee jumping, zip lining and sky-diving.

A celebration of her life took place Saturday, Aug. 13, her birthday, at the home of her parents.

Lori will be remembered by family and friends for her radiant smile and bravery throughout her struggle with extreme health problems.

Per her request, her body has been donated to medical science.

God’s precious gift to us is now one of His angels.
