1953 - 2017
Patricia Earhart, 63, of Pekin, passed away at 9:15 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2017, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
Born September 11, 1953, in Pekin to Russell Ray and Ethel Faye (Montgomery) Hershey, she married Anson Spencer on April 6, 1972, in Phoenix, Ariz. She later married Ted Eugene Beeney on May 3, 1991, in Petersburg. Then, on November 18, 1994, she married Leland Earhart in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Sabrina Hershey of Marquette Heights, Joyce A. Merritt of Canton, and Shawna (Brad) Stone of Peoria; two sons, Curtis Beeney of Pekin and Jason Earhart of Waukesha, Wis.; nine grandchildren; one sister, Debra (Charles) Hocking of Mt. Carmel; and one brother, Jim (Lana) Hershey of Phoenix, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, Bob, Charlotte, Etta, Diane and two infants.
Patricia loved to bake and was famous for her sugar cookies around the holidays. She was a rock for her family and friends. She was happiest when she was helping others and spending time with her grandchildren. She praised the word of God and loved sharing verses from the Bible.
The family would like to thank the staff at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home for providing great care.
Patricia had worked as a janitor for Pekin School District 108 from 1994 to 2007.
Cremation rites will be accorded. The family will host a celebration of life from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 31, at the Eagle’s Lodge in Pekin.
