The Morton High School Band will host a car wash at JH Car Wash from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday (rain date Wednesday) as the kick-off for establishing a Morton Community Foundation permanent endowment for the band.
Tom Harper, owner of the car wash, has donated some of his facilities and will match funds up to $1,000 for the event.
Last year, the Morton High School cross country team hosted a similar fundraiser at JH Car Wash to establish an endowment fund through the Morton Community Foundation. Once established, an endowment fund grows annually, allowing grants to be distributed within an organization to help fund its respective programs.
