A fire at a Baltimore Avenue home visibly damaged the left portion of the house Saturday at about 6:15 p.m.

No details on the cause of the fire are yet available.

A dog was seen escaping the backyard of the home. The dog came to a Morton firefighters arms and was cared for by helpful onlookers. It is not known if the dog was inside the home.

It appeared the residents were not home during the fire, but that is still speculative.
