Beginning in October, the pages of the Morton Times-News will be just a little narrower.
The Morton Times-News will be a more compact size, in keeping with the trend of newspapers across the country.
Over the past few years, the paper mills have been steering newspaper companies toward this new size. The Morton Times-News is going to implement this new size, beginning in mid-October. The paper’s sister publications: Chillicothe Times-Bulletin, Woodford Times, East Peoria Times-Courier and Washington Times-Reporter will be printed on the new paper, too.
According to opinion poll results, readers prefer a more compact-size newspaper. The new size will be easier to hold out in front of you, easier to fold and gives the reader the satisfaction of being eco-friendlier, through more efficient paper usage.
As we adopt the new size, the staff of the Morton Times-News is taking advantage of this opportunity to update the style of this newspaper, which will change its “look,” but not the content. The Morton Times-News will remain your same quality hometown newspaper.
