Second annual Kids' Day
The second annual Kids' Day will be held at Freedom Hall on from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. All proceeds from the event will benefit B.A.C.E, the before and after school care facility located in the Morton Roller Rink. Bring a non-perishable food item to the event to be donated to the B.A.C.E food pantry.
The Morton Masonic Lodge will provide free child identification packages, emergency vehicles will be on hand for the kids to explore, games and activities, be a part of the “Minute to Win It” game held every hour starting at 10:30 a.m., a water balloon volley ball game will be at noon. Lunch and snacks will be available.
At 1 p.m. there is a balloon release with a $25 prize to the child whose balloon goes the furthest distance.
There will be Schwann’s truckload sale on site and individual Schwann’s treats will be sold on site. A boys and girls bike will be given away 1:45 p.m., all children visiting the event will be eligible to register for the drawing by visiting the booths and exhibits on site.
The event is hosted by Health Solutions and the Morton Tourism Association with the help of Party Rentals, Mary Kay Cosmetics, USborne Books, Morton Masonic Lodge, Morton Park District and Morton Police, Fire & Rescue. For more information, call 696-7780.
