Bessie A. Tuttle, 83, of Morton died at 12:05 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born July 30, 1928, in Fieldon, Ill., to Frank and Eva (Shepler) Boyd. She married Emory A. Tuttle on Oct. 2, 1949, in Peoria.
Surviving are her husband of Morton; one son, Vernon Tuttle of Peoria; two daughters, Roberta (Tom) Griffith of Conyers, Ga., and Karen (Bill) Maupin of Henry; one grandson, Benjamin (Nichole) Griffith of Conyers, Ga.; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Griffith and Tiannah Lewis; and one sister, Bertha Boyd of Peoria.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and four sisters.
A homemaker, Bessie was a member of East Peoria Church of Christ.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton, with Scott Lindell officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.
