Elisha Wilkerson and Patrick Sharpe, both of Marion, were married Oct. 22, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.

Parents of the couple are Shari Wilkerson of Morton and Brian Wilkerson of Richmond, Ind.,  and James and Beth Sharpe of Pekin.

The Rev. Jim Pankiewicz performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride wore an ivory dramatic high-low style strapless gown featuring an elegantly draped sweetheart bodice and flowers at the waist. Her bouquet was sunflowers tied with a blue ribbon.

Matron of honor was Erin Parod of Washington, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Katie Manuel of Pekin, friend of the bride, Brittany Sharpe of Chicago, sister of the groom and Laura Parod of Morton, friend of the bride.

Best man was Thomas Beno of Washington, D.C., friend of the groom.

Groomsmen were Christopher Miller of Chicago, Adam Clay of Indianapolis, Ind., and Ryan Bryson of Morton, all friends of the groom.

Ushers were Benjamin Brockschmidt of Washington, D.C., cousin of the groom and Scott Snyder of Chicago, future brother-in-law.

Flower girl was Starr Edwards of Crown Point, Ind., cousin of the bride.

Ring bearer was Dylan Parod of Washington, nephew of the bride.

A dinner/dance reception took place at Pekin Country Club in Pekin, followed by a wedding trip to Jamacia.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Morton High School and a 2008 graduate of Illinois State University, where she received a bachelors degree in education. She is currently a student of the University of Illinois-Springfield. She is employed as a teacher at Tri-C Elementary in Carterville, Ill.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Morton High School and a 2007 graduate of Purdue University and a 2010 graduate of Southern Illinois University. He is employed by Maurizio Law Firm P.C.

The couple lives in Marion.
