Sally J. Pace, 70, of East Peoria, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at her home. Sally was born on April 17, 1947, in Peoria, to Robert Edward and Marejane (Hunt) Pace.

Surviving are her children, Chad-Robert (Nicole) Emery of East Peoria, and Jaymee-Maree Hauk of East Peoria, and three grandchildren, Jaiden, Kenadee and Ryker.

Sally graduated from Illinois State University and then from Bradley University with a master’s degree and had also completed another 100 credit hours of post graduate work.  Sally was a Special Education teacher for District 86 for 41 years.  After she retired from District 86, she taught Remedial English at Illinois Central College.  Sally was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist  Church in Edwards and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria, with services to follow at 7 p.m.  Private burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
