E. Jolene Kaufman, 72, of Morton, died at 4:55 a.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010, at her home.
Born July 15, 1937, in Kirksville, Mo., to Jack and Dorothy (Miles) Forke, she married Gerald D. Kaufman Dec. 22, 1956, in Morton. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Jeri Lynn Kaufman of St. Louis, Kelly Jo Davidson of Washington and Diana (Darrin) Sparks of Troy; one grandson; one granddaughter; one brother, Jerry (Edwina) Forke of Independence, Mo.; and one half sister, Jackie (Warren) Locke of Tiffin, Iowa.
She was employed as a Spanish teacher at Morton High School for 26 years. She also taught at Green Valley High School and Delavan High School.
She was a member of Deer Creek United Methodist Church.
Services were Monday at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home in Morton. The Rev. James Reynolds officiated. Visitation was Sunday and preceded services Monday, both at the funeral home. Burial was in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.
