Mildred A. Geason, 95, of Morton, died at 7:42 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at her home.
Born Jan. 18, 1915, in Los Angeles, she married Francis L. Geason July 2, 1931, in Bloomington. He died Aug. 8, 1994.
Also preceding her in death were two sons, Richard and Michael Geason; one daughter, Mary Parker; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; two brothers; and six sisters.
Surviving are five daughters, Patricia (Richard) Hautala of East Peoria, Marlene (James) Clark of Cincinnati, Ohio, Barbara Innis of Pekin, Sue Houle of Destin, Fla., and Martha (Donald) Hays of Pekin; one daughter-in-law, Loretta Geason of East Peoria; one son-in-law, William Parker of Peoria; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
She worked as a cook for Morton High School for eight years.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton and its Altar & Rosary Society.
Services were Monday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton. The Rev. Mark DeSutter officiated. Visitation preceded services Monday at the church. Burial was in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Central Illinois Chapter.
