TREMONT — Charles W. Sauder, 69, died at 8:34 a.m. Sunday, June 20, 2010 at his home.
Born Feb. 27, 1941, in Peoria to Willis E. and Pauline K. Woerner Sauder, he married Miriam R. Fritz Aug. 7, 1966, in Morton. She died Jan. 4, 2009.
Surviving are two sons, John (Misty) Sauder of Pekin and Jim (Rachel) Sauder of Tremont; one daughter, Carrie (Akihiro) Ito of Tokyo; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Art (Carol) Sauder of Hendersonville, N.C., and Howard (Janice) Sauder of Tremont; two sisters, Mary (Ted) Staker of Morton and June (David) Koch of Pekin.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
He worked at Pekin Energy Co. in Pekin for many years.
He was a member of Apostolic Christian Church in Tremont, where he served as a minister and elder for many years.  He also served as a volunteer EMT for Tremont Rescue 702.
Services are at 10 a.m. today at Apostolic Christian Church in Tremont. Ministers of the church will officiate. Visitation was Tuesday at Apostolic Christian Fellowship Hall, 601 S. Chestnut St. in Tremont and will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. today at the church. Burial will be in Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Tremont.
Memorials may be made to Tremont Rescue 702 or Apostolic Christian Timber Ridge in Morton.
