Dorothy I. Castle, 89, of Morton died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at Morton Villa Care Center.
Born Nov. 19, 1922, in Lincoln to Fredrick and A. Josephine (Sheley) Franz, she married Robert Brown in June 1945 in Peoria. He preceded her in death in 1945. She then married Walter Snyder in 1950 in Raton, Minn. She later married Warren Castle in July 1971 in East Peoria. He preceded her in death in 1977. She also was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren and four sisters, Janet Rogy, Norma Bertels, Nancy Franz and Sheila Nation.
Surviving are three sons, Fredrick Snyder of Bloomington, Theodore (Dawn) Snyder of New Zealand, and Kipling (Michele) Snyder of Pekin; two daughters, Pamela (Jim) Miller of East Peoria and Brenda Snyder of Nashville, Tenn.; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one brother, John (Shirley) Franz of Peoria.
She was a homemaker.
The family has made arrangements for donation to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois in Chicago. No services or visitation will be held.
Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling arrangements.
