The Morton High School freshman football families would like to thank and commend our coaches for giving our sons a great season! The MHS freshman Potters, aka “Hogs,” finished their season with six wins and three losses.
Having a winning season is great and means a lot to these young men and to us parents.
However, we appreciate the winners that our sons had for coaches most of all. We think so highly of coach Brandon Stauffer and the leadership, work ethic and good sportsmanship he taught our young men this past summer and season. As parents, not a one of us could ask for a better man to coach our sons. Ask any of our players, and they will all say how fond they are of him and what a great time they had playing for him and his associates.
We would also like to thank the associates — Stuart Smith, Rod Richards, Pete Mondredini and Tim Simpson. They all gave so much of themselves and their time to our guys.
We also want to thank each of their families for sacrificing time with these husbands and fathers so that they could make a difference in our sons’ lives.
Thank you also to the other coaches at the sophomore and varsity levels, too, for we know they also had a hand in this team’s success.
We also want to commend our young men for their great attitudes, hard work and sportsmanship. To them we say (quoting of our team dads), you are “Hoggalicious!” We are proud of our guys.
And, though we are sad the season is over, we are already looking forward to a great sophomore year for you.
Great job, coaches and players! You gave us some great Hogball to watch this year!
