Based on the poll, there is a good amount of people who have voted that they would not be thrilled if Jefferson School is closed.
Also, several of you are taking a neutral stance by saying you don't have enough information yet.
That is what I plan to do following District 709's spring break — get some information. I have touched base with superintendant Roger Kilpatrick to set up times for me to be guided through the schools and take a good look at facility conditions, wants and needs.
I know communicating to the public is one of the district's top priorities, and that is why I am here. Rest assured, I'll have some stories regarding facility conditions in the very near future.
