PEORIA — Polls have closed in what’s expected to be a low-turnout race to pick the nominees to succeed U.S. Rep. Aaron Schock.Reports throughout the day showed that voting was light across the Peoria area as Republicans and Democrats winnowed the field of candidates in the contest. That was likely exacerbated by light but steady rain across much of the district during the morning.
