PEKIN — The Dunlap Co-op won its fifth straight Mid-Illini Invitational swimming and diving meet on Saturday.

Savannah Sowards won the 200 IM in 2 minutes, 13.01 seconds and the 50 freestyle in :24.19 to help lead the Eagles to 462 points. The Metamora Co-op (301) was second, and was Washington (263) third after all the action at the Pekin High School pool.

Noelle Peplowski won the 100 butterfly (1:04.21) and the 100 free (:52.28) for Metamora.

Emma Theobald added victories in the 100 backstroke (:56.30) and the 100 butterfly (:56.43) for the first-place Eagles.

BIG 12: Normal Community ended the four-year reign of Notre Dame on the conference meet by beating the Irish 270.5-228 in the team standings at Bloomington. Zero Journal Star-area swimmers won an event.
