Heyworth entered the Heart Of Illinois Confernce Tournament as the top seed, but lost its first game against ninth-seeded Lexington on Monday. The Hornets were unbeaten in conference play until losing to Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 50-49 last Thursday.

After a first-round bye as one of the top two seeds, No. 2 Eureka won its quarterfinal game against GCMS 67-40. Senior guard Tessa Leman scored a game-high 36 points, 24 of which were in the first half.

Eureka (17-3) will play third-seeded Colfax Ridgeview in the semifinals at 8 p.m. Thursday at Illinois Wesleyan's Shirk Center in Bloomington. El Paso-Gridley will play Lexington at 6:30 p.m. in the other semifinal game.
