“That was some of the best doubles I’ve seen a Morton girls team as a whole play ever,” said MHS head coach Pete Martin.
In the No. 1 slot, Ashley Gannon and Jessica Martin were 1-6, 6-0, 6-4 winners.
Siera Hasler and Paige Maurer handed their second-position counterparts a 6-1, 6-0 defeat.
The Potters’ Ashley Bohnker and Taylor Hartman were nearly as unstoppable with a 6-1, 6-1 win from the No. 3 post.
In singles, Hasler (6-4, 6-1), Maurer (7-5, 4-6, 6-1), Bohnker (6-4, 6-0) and Hartman (6-3, 6-2) prevailed.

The Potters topped the Dragons Thursday to improve to 2-0 in the first week of conference play.
Morton won each of the singles matches from the second through sixth spots.
Gannon (6-2, 6-3), Martin (7-5, 7-6), Maurer (6-1, 6-0) and Bohnker (6-0, 6-0) all won in straight sets.
Hartman fought off her No. 6 foe, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.
The Potter duo of Hasler and Maurer prevented a Dragon sweep in doubles with a 6-0, 6-1 rout.

The Potters buried the Irish Saturday without losing a set against the Mid-State 6 Conference member.
In singles, Hasler (6-2, 6-0), Gannon (6-1, 6-1), Maurer (6-0, 6-1), Bohnker (6-3, 6-2), Hartman (6-0, 6-2) and Katie Minesinger (6-4, 6-2) all collected victories.
The teams of Hasler/Martin (6-1, 6-0), Gannon/Maurer (6-1, 6-0) and Bohnker/Hartman (6-0, 6-0) were equally dominant.
MHS 5, Richwoods 4
The Potters used a 2-1 doubles advantage Monday to take the non-conference matchup.
Hasler/Gannon (6-1, 6-2) and Bohnker/Hartman (6-2, 6-2) triumphed in doubles for Morton at home.
Gannon (6-0, 6-1) and Bohnker (6-1, 6-0) were dominant in singles, while Hartman rallied for a 3-6, 6-0, 10-4 victory.
Hasler and Martin both lost in close calls in singles.
