The Morton Junior High softball team won an 11-1 decision over Midwest Central in six innings.
Gabby Garcia (five strikeouts, three walks, three hits) was the winner.
Jocelyn Nimmo was 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI. Bridget Serrurier went 3-for-4 with three RBI.
Jadison Wharram was 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs and two RBI. Garcia had a double and knocked in a run.
In a 21-1 win in three innings against Dunlap Middle, Garcia (eight strikeouts, three walks, three hits) gained the victory.
Serrurier was 3-for-3 with four RBI. Wharram went 4-for-4 with four RBI, a double and a triple.
The Junior Potters defeated Illini Bluffs as Garcia (two strikeouts, eight hits) was the winner again.
Chandler Ryan tripled and scored twice. Jenny Troyer tripled twice with two RBI, while Amanda Ridings drove in a run and Nimmo doubled.
Morton (11-5) had a nine-game winning streak snapped in a 12-5 loss to Normal Parkside in which Garcia was handed the setback.
Ryan smacked an over-the-fence HR. Nimmo hit a bases-loaded triple.
