The Washington/East Peoria/Morton co-op won four events in their final tune-up before the postseason, but that was not enough to prevent the Eagles from claiming a 110-73 decision.

Seth Swartzendruber and Brennan Schmidt were two-event winners for the home team.

Swartzendruber clocked a time of 23.49 seconds to capture the 50 freestyle and finished the 100 free in a meet-best :53.05.

Schmidt prevailed in the 200 individual medley in 2:10.97 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.47.

Postseason: W/EP/M is in the 14-team Normal Sectional, which is Saturday.

All swimming and diving event winners at the sectional will advance to the IHSA state final on Feb. 27-28 at Winnetka New Trier High School.

Additionally, all contestants who equal or exceed the minimum qualifying time also will move forward.
