MORTON — The new Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in Morton opened today, Nov. 13. The restaurant, located at 927 W. Jackson St., hosted a grand opening celebration for the community on Tuesday morning. The event will include a chance to win free chicken for a year for the first 50 guests in line, prizes and more.
The restaurant features KFC’s signature American Showman design aesthetic, which includes many elements that pay tribute to KFC Founder Colonel Harland Sanders and the brand’s heritage, including its signature red and white stripes. It will accommodate dining room seating for more than 50 guests.
“We’re excited to welcome the Morton community to our new location on West Jackson Street,” said Brian Cahoe, chief development officer, KFC U.S. “We invite everyone to stop by our grand opening celebration and try some of the Colonel’s hand breaded and freshly prepared chicken on Tuesday, Nov. 13.”
KFC is a member of the Morton Chamber of Commerce and partners with the work experience program at Morton High school to provide job opportunities for high school students while they earn academic credit.
"Morton is very excited to have KFC's delicious food, great service, and passion for community in town again,” Village of Morton Board Trustee Sam Heer remarked. “We welcome KFC to Morton and look forward to building a strong partnership together."
