MORTON - To commemorate Earth Day and to keep Morton clean and green, the Morton Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Community Clean-Up on April 22nd from 2-4 p.m.

Groups of volunteers and families are encouraged to sign up for this clean-up effort through the Chamber’s online registration system available at mortonchamber.org or via phone at (309) 263-2491.

On the 22nd, volunteers are asked to check-in at Church Square (corner of 3rd & Jefferson) between 1:30 - 2 p.m. to receive their clean-up site assignments and pick up their cleaning supplies and goody bags. Volunteers will then depart to their sites and pick-up from 2 - 4 p.m. or until the area is clear.

“This is a great opportunity for all citizens of Morton to gather together and continue to make positive impacts on our community,” says Leigh Ann Brown, Executive Director of the Morton Chamber of Commerce.

This event is sponsored by Morton Natural Gas, the Morton Rotary Club, and Kuhl Insurance. Additional supporters David Chadwick and Puckett Tax have also contributed to the effort.
