PEORIA - Though the Tri-County area is now at 250 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 80 percent of them have recovered, and the use of area hospital bed continues to decline.


Monica Hendrickson, administrator of the Peoria City/County Health department related the statistics during the daily COVID-19 press briefing Wednesday.


Peoria County has 167 cases, Tazewell County has 65 cases, and Woodford County has 18. By 3 p.m. Wednesday, 178 COVID-19 tests were done at Heartland Health Services drive thru testing sites in Peoria and Pekin.
