ND, a sectional champion, finished its season 22-2 and ranked No. 6 nationally by topdrawersoccer.com. ND at one point reached No. 1 nationally for the first time in program history.

"This senior class? Unbelievable," ND coach Mike Bare said after a supersectional loss to eventual Class 2A state champion Lisle Benet. "They are extremely talented and work extremely hard."

Marquette, under 14th-year coach Louis Bennett, finished its season 8-9-1 after a loss Saturday in the quarterfinals of the Big East tournament. Bennett has a pair of NCAA tournament appearances with Marquette, leading the Golden Eagles to the Sweet 16 in 2013.
