Today in Morton - Feb. 10
Updates will be slim today as we produce this week's publication. If I receive anything of utmost importance, rest assured, I will have it here first.
In this week's publication, we are focusing on the efforts of the new program coordinator at the chamber, the Pumpkin Festival theme and the fire department grant.
We have put together an editorial that will be an important read for all Mortonites.
Also in this week's paper, our True Romance special feature. This feature will focus on fairy-tale love stories that have lasted through the years ... what a perfect way to prepare for Valentine's Day, which, by the way, I just realized is several days away!

I have uploaded photos from the autograph signing at Bob Grimm Chevrolet Saturday. Andy Studebaker, a defensive end for the Kansas City Chiefs and Eureka native, was at the car dealership from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

It seems most of you are in between on this year's Pumpkin Festival theme. I have to say, I kind of expected this response. Myself, I can't stand the days that ensue after Thanksgiving. Who knows how I will handle thinking about Christmas in September!?
But, that is the theme, now I am curious what it is going to be all about and how the festival can tie this in. I don't believe pumpkins exist during Christmastime.
Here are the results:
