“Dance Dance Dance”  will be presented by the TazWood Dance Co. at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3 and 4 and at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 5 in the Performing Arts Center of Illinois Central College.

The show will include an opening number featuring tap, ballet and jazz. The section “Ghost Dancer” not only has dancing, but is based on an original poem by Company dancer Margaret Greenhalgh.  “Shadows” includes many different ways we “see” shadows: a comic look at shadows, shadows of remembering from the past, shadows that are dreamlike, and, of course, the ever popular “Me and My Shadow.”

In addition, the Company will be tapping to Dave Brubeck’s “Take Five.”

Children from the community will also be dancing in their own 12 minutes section called “Rockin’ and Jammin.’”  Their music will be by Owl City, Hannah Montana, and Miley Cyrus.

The final section is “A Dancing Renaissance Feast” complete with Lords, Ladies, a jester, maids, gypsies and a fortune teller.

TWDC takes pride in the fact that their shows are always suitable for families, have audience participation and offer a wide variety of dance all in the same show.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors and are available at the ICC Box Office, 694-5136.

A reception following the Dec. 3 performance is open to the public.
