Honor students announced

Morton High School seniors celebrate the end of the graduation ceremony Sunday by filling the air with graduation caps.

The highest honor recipients and gold cord recipients for the Morton High School class of 2013 have been announced.

To be named a recipient of the highest honor, students must have a grade-point average equal to a 5.0 on a 4.0 scale or higher.

Receiving the award was Hannah Behle, Lauren Blum, Rachel Blunier, Nathaniel Forret, Abbie Fox, Turner Holcombe, Shelby Ifft, Sophie Katz, Nicole Koch, Mitchell Lutz, Matthew Lyons, Michaela Mirkovich, Victoria Moffa, Gayane Nersesyan, Kaitlyn Ostazeski, David Rhode, Jackson Roach and David Rossi.

Gold cord recipients maintained at least a 4.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
