Groveland Pioneer Days start Thursday

The first Groveland Pioneer Days will be held Thursday through Saturday on the grounds of Heartland Christian Fellowship Church on Springfield Road in Groveland.

The event includes a carnival, craft and vendor fair, car cruise-in, Jr. Pioneer of the Year Contest and live music.

The event kicks off Thursday with $20 wristband night at the Carnival from noon-10 p.m. and the craft and vendor fair from 3-8 p.m.

Friday will include carnival rides and food from noon-10 p.m., local car cruise-in from 4-8 p.m. and craft and vendor fair from 3-8 p.m. Live music will go from 5 – 10 p.m.

Saturday, the carnival will run from noon – 10 p.m., the Rusty Rockers Classic Auto Cruise-In from noon-8 p.m., craft and vendor fair from 8 a.m.–8 p.m., Jr. Pioneer of the Year Contest at 2 p.m. and live music starting at 4 p.m. with South Side Cindy and the Slip-Tones at 8 p.m. The Methodist Well Mobile will also be on site for health screenings in the morning beginning at 9 a.m.

All proceeds benefit local charities including the Groveland Library, Bread of Life Food Pantry and the Barb Hart Scholarship Fund.
