John Burnham, 71, of Morton, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, at his residence.
Born Sept. 9, 1937, in Macomb to Howard and Gladys James Burnham, he married Judith Metts May 26, 1962, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Victoria (Gary) Johnson of Lakeland, Fla., Cathy (Vern) Reynolds of Morton and Cheryl (Mark) Thompson of Washington; one brother, Keith (JoAnne) Burnham of Michigan; three granddaughters; six grandsons; and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were one sister and one nephew.
He grew up and attended schools in Washington and later attended Eureka College in Eureka.
He was employed as an insurance agent for Allstate insurance, retiring in 2000.
He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Morton.
Services were Jan. 2 at The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. Father Mark DeSutter officiated. Visitation was Jan. 1 at the mortuary. Entombment was in Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria.
Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society or Blessed Sacrament Church Building Fund.
