Nancy E. Morris, 54, formerly of Peoria, died at 2:35 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at OSF Saint Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

She was born Oct. 13, 1954, in Peoria to Hugh C. and Suzanne (Stephens) Morris.

Surviving are her mother, Suzanne Morris of Morton; four sisters, Kathleen (Jan) Sefton of Morton, Kristine (Jim) Legg of Mountain Home, Ark., Sandy (Mark) Stuaan of Fishers, Ind., and Patti (Michael) Bower of Severn, Md.; and one brother, Michael (Joy) Morris of Hendersonville, Tenn.

Preceding her in death was her father.

She graduated from Limestone High School and Illinois Central College, where she received a nursing degree.

A licensed practical nurse, she worked at hospitals in Illinois and Arizona and last worked in the office of Dr. Horung in Bloomington.

She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria and a volunteer with the McLean County Historical Society in Bloomington.

Cremation was accorded.

Services were Saturday at Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria. Pastor Bob Donaldson officiated. Visitation was Saturday at the church.

Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of cremation arrangements.
