Obituary: Abigail Leuelling, 89, of Morton

Abigail “Abbie” Leuelling, 89, of Morton died at 10:55 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Apostolic Christian Home in Morton.

She was born April 22, 1925, in Cooper Township to Gail and Lazena (Smith) Prater and married Cyril Leuelling on April 21, 1947, in Riverton. 

Surviving are her husband of Morton; four children, Nancy (Jim) Schurter of Tremont, Janet (Bill) Mansell of Phoenix, Arizona, Ronald (Julie) Leuelling of Denver, North Carolina and Diane (Larry) Massey of Morton; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters.

She worked part time for Witzig’s Department Store in Morton and later was a real estate agent for 12 years with Gwen Phillips & Associates in Morton.

She was a member of Morton Christian Church, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2015, with the Rev. Larry Timm officiating. A visitation was held Tuesday at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton, and will be from 9-9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Roberts Cemetery in Morton.

Memorials may be made to Morton Christian Church or to The Little Galilee Christian Assembly Camp in Clinton.
