Organizations to receive $40,000 in grants from MCF
I would like to personally invite you to our Business After Hours event to be held at the Bertha Frank Performing Arts Center from 4:30-6:30 p.m. April 23.
The Morton Community Foundation needs, and appreciates, the support of individuals and businesses in the Morton area. At our Business After Hours event, we’ll update you on how the Foundation is having an impact on our community, and will be announcing the winners of over $40,000 in grants from our 2015 Grant program.
Representatives of each of the local charities and governmental entities will be recognized at this event. These grants are made possible by the investment proceeds from over 50 endowment funds established and funded by local donors
Most importantly, we would love to have you stop by, say hello, enjoy some food from our delicious buffet and share in some community hospitality. Refreshments will be provided by TCRC, Morton.
This year, the Foundation will additionally give out $15,000 in scholarships, $87,500 in funding to various charities from our Donor Advised and Designated Funds, plus another $17,000 will be distributed from our Agency Funds directly to nonprofits with funds that have been established to benefit them.
We’ll also serve as a “conduit” for individuals to give charitable donations towards a couple of major local capital projects … likely passing along between $250,000-300,000 directly to those community projects. That’s an impressive $400,000-450,000 worth of charitable impact. Thanks to all who give to make this happen.
Please also reserve Oct. 17 to attend our Annual Fall Fundraiser to be held again this year at Wildwood Farms, the home of Kris and Chuck Rinkenberger. It’s going to be a lot of fun and we sure hope you are able to attend.
