Add one to the Mid-State 6 Conference ledger.

Host Notre Dame prevailed over Mid-Illini Conference member Morton, 58-48, Feb. 17 in another 2008-09 matchup of the Central Illinois boys basketball leagues.

Kevin Waibel had his biggest game since returning from an ankle injury with 15 points to lead the Potters.

Tyler Lundeen’ had 11 points and Will Headean eight for Morton.

Limestone 51, MHS 50: For the second time this winter, the Rockets beat the Potters by a point Friday.

Morton (13-10, 7-5) was denied at Vern Woosley Gymnasium after Limestone used a 15-10 fourth-quarter margin.

Lundeen was dynamic with a game-high 21 points.

Headean also was in double figures for the conference guests with 10 points.

Tate Anderson tallied seven points. Along with Headean, he hit the team’s lone threes.

The Rockets were led by Donivine Stewart’s 19 points.

Officially, Morton will split with Limestone this season.

The Potters hosted M-I champion Washington last night, while East Peoria, the other co-second-place squad, welcomed Pekin.

Standings adjusted: Limestone last week forfeited its 18 wins, nine of which came in conference play.

That decision by the Illinois High School Association dropped the Rockets from second place to last in the M-I.

Pekin, East Peoria and Canton benefited the most, with each adding two victories.
